Could this be u?
Well i was gonna comment on sals "back to drs" blog but my comment would've been more like a blog so i figured i might as well blog. Anywho, what i wanted to say was that i know now what u mean by ur stomach hurting no matter what u eat or what time of day it is. My son is experiencing the same thing and has been since about mid nov but thought it was his way of getting out of school. Unfortunatly it wasnt a lie cuz when i took him to the dr 3 weeks ago they found something. Well actually the regular pediatrician ran tests and nothing came up but he referred me to a gi specialist just to make sure. Then she met w/us, ran more tests and x-rays and found a couple of things. One, she said, we naturally have gases floating in the stomach area but the x-ray showed David (my kiddo) didnt. Then the next thing was that he tested positive for a stomach bacteria. Now that she's done all that she wants to get a better pic of his stomach so a CT scan was ordered and (the one thing i didnt want him going thru) an indonoscopy (not sure if spelled correct). For those of u not familiar w/that procedure, it means going down ur throat w/a camera to see the inside of ur stomach and scrapping samples of stomach tissue for testing purposes. I wish i could tell u what happens if u do have the stomach bacteria or what happens if u dont have those gases but dummy me failed to ask those questions and now im wondering all kinds of things, like will he have to be on meds for the rest of his life, or will he have the stomach issues all the time. What upsets me most is that im real good about not leaving the drs office until ive asked any and all questions but i messed up this time. I just thought i'd tell u whats going on over here so that maybe u could mention those possibilites to ur doc and see what he tells u. Well better get back to work. Also wanted to say that whoever reads this and has faith in prayer just to keep my kiddo in mind.

Hey Rose Bud, I appreciate you taking the time writing about this and trying to help me out.
I did see a GI doctor. He knows me very well now, if you know what I mean. I had the same procedure done as your kiddo. I also had a Colonoscopy, Cat Scan of the stomach, an Upper GI, and an Ultra Sound. Blood work did find that I had H. Pylori, a very common stomach virus. I took a boatload of Meds for that.
With all that stuff done. They found nothing more then a little bit of acid reflux and such. The GI doctor did tell me to stay away from Dairy, which I do now. He also had me on some drug called Zelnorm but that was found to cause heart palpations so they took it off the market. All that did was made me "regular". The GI doctor also went on to say. "i am sorry for not finding out what is wrong with you" I should have said that Im sorry i couldnt pay him!
We have a new GI doctor at work now and am tempted to go through it all all over again but i forgot to get insurance! I didnt have it the first time either and im still paying for it...
Thats it!! I knew it was H something. The dr that is seeing David said that he tested positive for that bacteria but w/the accent she has i really cant understand what she is saying when she says that word.
Well apparently ur no stranger then when it comes to drs visits for the stomach. That sux that you've had the worx done to u and then some and still no good reason found for that stomach pain. I guess we might be in the same boat as u.
I also had issues w/my stomach growing up. I was really skinny till about 10 yrs old then i just finally went to a normal weight and was fine. I was called "sancudo" (spanish 4 mosquito)growing up. I too had alot of drs visits and stuff done but they never really found anything and i was pretty much fine as i got older. I guess my sick genes were passed down to him.
Looks like i should've just done another blog, lol. Anywho, Sal,hope this passes soon for u as much as i hope it passes for us. Nothing a little prayer wont cure, right? Hang in there :-)
They also said that once you test positive for H. Pylori you always will.
Like many others I have also noticed that in times of distress my stomach does hurt more. So, dont worry your boy to much !! lol
